Austin ANRP Internship Dates
ANRP Austin internships are only offered during the Texas legislative session. The legislature meets in the spring only of every odd-numbered year, spring of 2009 is the next time ANRP Austin internships will be available.
Texas legislative session begins on the second Tuesday in January and lasts 140 days. ANRP interns are expected to work the entire length of session, which passes the end of the spring semester. (Besides, you'll want to stay for the end of session celebration!)
Dates are reasonably flexible for weddings, graduations, or other events.

ANRP Eligibility
All applicants must be:
- U.S. citizens
- Students in good standing at Texas A&M University
- Enrolled as an undergraduate, master’s or PhD student in the Texas A&M University College of Agriculture & Life Sciences
- Applicants must have a minimum 2.25 overall GPR ; 2.5 preferred. Students with below a 2.25 may apply and appeal to the faculty committee.
- Graduating seniors may intern one semester directly following graduation. For example, December graduates may intern in the spring semester, August in the fall. May graduates may apply for summer or fall internships. All seniors must contact the program director for additional information and requirements.
